OUR CLIENTS

With a combined 30 years of search experience in previous firms, we have built up a track-record of successful appointments in the following sectors.

Education

We have considerable experience of working with Higher Education clients, with recent appointments at Vice-Chancellor level including those at York St John and London Metropolitan University, and we have worked recently with several Russell Group Universities, including King's College London, University of Glasgow, LSE, and Cardiff University. We recently partnered internationally to help recruit the Rector Magnificus of Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, and have worked on senior positions at King Abdullah University in Saudi Arabia.

We also have experience filling non-executive posts in this sector, including helping to assemble an entire university board in 2010, and partner with Wonkhe in commissioning research on governance in the sector. Our experience also includes the school sector; we recently helped to recruit a COO at Haverstock School.

Publishing and education services

We have recent experience of working with clients in the publishing sector - with consistent themes including digitisation, international market development and cultural change. Recent appointments have included the Managing Director for Academic Publishing at Cambridge University Press, the Chief Executive of Cambridge English Language Assessment, the Chief Executive of Bell Educational Services and the Director of Schott Publishing.

Global Development

We have developed a portfolio of clients in the global development sector over the past years. Recent clients have included Making All Voices Count, the Global Innovation Fund, Y Care and War Child. We have previously completed searches for senior leadership posts at UNICEF, the World Food Programme, World Health Organisation, International Federation of the Red Cross, Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, African Development Bank, Aidspan, Disaasters Emergency Committee, London International Development Centre, Oikocredit, African Economic Research Consortium, and the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3IE). We have helped fill both executive and non-executive posts in this sector. Our work in this sector is truly international; we have served clients based worldwide and our candidate pool is global.

Culture

We work with clients across the cultural and heritage sector, recently working with clients including Schott Publishing and Birmingham Contemporary Music Group and with prior experience in our previous firms of supporting museums and heritage organisations - including Science Museum, National Railway Museum and Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew - at Director level. As this sector adjusts to an increasingly challenging funding regime, we are committed to supporting clients in finding commercially-minded leaders who can support organic, constructive cultural change.

Third and Broader Public Sector

We have recently helped the Royal Society with the appointment of a Chief Financial Officer. We have also, in our previous organisations, served a range of charities, non-departmental bodies, social housing and independent organisations with a broad social mission. Examples include the British Council, National Endowment for Science, Technology & Arts, Higher Education Academy, Wellcome Trust, Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education, the Cambridge Commonwealth, European and International Trust, and the Institute of Masters of Wine.
