Minerva recently supported the AIM (Association of Independent Museums) Conference at the historic Surgeons Quarter in Edinburgh. Alasdair and Ben represented Minerva while enjoying the opportunity to meet with a number of fascinating museums.
“We had an absolutely lovely time attending this year’s AIM conference in Edinburgh. On the Thursday, hearing Andrew Lovett and other attendees speak on the various benefits and difficulties that come with being an independent museums was invaluable. We enjoyed debating and thinking about what it means to be an independent museum in the current climate and the various strengths and challenges that come with the agility of independence.
On the Friday, we listened to challenges that come with creating and modernising a board. We found insightful observations into the sector in all of the talks we attended, which will be useful in thinking how we as an executive search firm could consider the challenges the sector faces.”
