The newly established MyWorld research programme, led by the University, builds on the strengths of this regional cluster and on its international connectivity.
We are offering the opportunity for outstanding candidates to apply for a strategically important role linked to the MyWorld Strength in Places Programme, within the Faculty of Engineering. We expect candidates to be individually recognised internationally for contributions in the field of visual computing or visual communications coupled with an outstanding research track record in a cognate area.
There is an expectation to contribute to the management and leadership of the MyWorld Programme therefore demonstrable experience of leading a programme and research teams is essential.
Entrepreneurial interests and experience, including IP exploitation, working with start-up companies, spin-outs is desirable.
