This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly merged Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Education. Reporting to the Dean of Faculty and Pro Vice-Chancellor, this key leadership position is your chance to build on the existing national reputation for high-quality teacher training, offering visionary leadership to the newly formed School of Teacher Education.
You will be a leader, who can plan the strategic vision for the School and a manager, who can get things right on the ground. You will be someone who deeply understands teacher training, professional learning, Ofsted and the political climate around it all. Your practice based research will be recognised as exciting and you will know how to value, nurture and develop your team.
The Head of School will drive the University’s strategy, which includes the redesign and resituating of the School’s academic portfolio in STEM and the creative and digital industries, while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders in preparing ‘Next Generation Teachers’.
