A new Chair is sought to lead the Board, bringing inspiration and wise judgement as we respond to the challenges of the times and deliver on our ambitious Strategy 2031.
As well as ensuring quality governance and compliance, our Chair will be a mentor, sounding board and the senior executive, and will provide external representation as appropriate.
A mindset that is able to bring together the need for careful financial stewardship with ambition and strategic vision is key. Alongside this, we seek a mature understanding of risk that will not shy away from embracing bold initiatives that will help to deliver our strategy and mission.
The Chair will bring thoughtful and mature leadership to Board meetings, with an inclusive approach that builds good teams and ensures all voices count. The appointee will have a genuine passion for our mission and for the potential for education to transform lives.
The role of Chair is likely to require a time commitment of around two days per month. The role is unremunerated, although reasonable expenses will be covered.
