Overview
Staffordshire University is aiming to be the UK’s foremost digital Higher Education institution. By 2030 we will lead the sector in personalised learning that will prepare students for the jobs of the future. This sits within the context of our broader strategic plan which will see us expanding our role in transforming people, places and society. A key pillar of this is the further development of Staffordshire University: London (SU:L).
SU:L was established in 2019 at HereEast, Stratford, focused on creativity and technology, initially delivering cyber, eSports and games design courses, at undergraduate and postgraduate level. In 2021 we expanded our site. We have ambitious plans to now grow further, delivering not only our flagship courses in the field of technology, but developing our portfolio to include distance learning and micro credentials The campus will also enable us to further develop our partnership and employer and enterprise activities in the capital together with enriching our overall research activities.
The Dean for London will play a critical role in the development of SU:L in the broadening and deepening of its portfolio. The Dean will be a full member of the central University top-team, University Executive Board, and will be responsible for the delivery of the Strategic Plan, through the London campus. Candidates will have a strong track record in London based Higher Education, civic and employment communities, in order to further build our presence in the capital and broaden our portfolio of activities. They will have demonstrable experience of leading and nurturing teams to deliver our business, through location based staff and the wider University community, and possess strong partnership development skills, be innovative, student focused and business minded.
