Founded in 2005, the British University in Egypt (BUE) is one of the fastest developing private Universities in Egypt and the broader region. As of today we have 11,000 students who study across 11 faculties. The University enters a new strategic planning cycle in 2022 and we are embarking on a programme of transformation to increase our impact and further our mission. Some central themes of this next period will include continuing to enhance our student experience and academic profile and further developing our partnerships and external impact.
The University is now seeking an outstanding and proactive individual with a strong background in UK university leadership to fill the post of Provost. The successful candidate will lead the academic performance and student experience provided by the University and will line-manage the Deans of Faculty. They will have the drive and commitment to take a major role in the University’s development. Ideal candidates will have a strong track record of academic leadership, with a good grasp both of the strategic and the operational. They will be capable of overseeing a highly diverse portfolio of activities and will build effective and collaborative relationships in delivering academic cultural change.
